How to install other routers to get 1000 mb speed?

Hello all,

 

I hope you can help me in English please.


i just installed T mobile 1000 mb and a zyxel modem. The wifi is max 300 or 400 mb.

I bought TP Link archer modem and followed other instructions I found in the community but couldnt have internet through the TP link modem.


Can you please recommend a router and insturctions on how to install it? I am not technicaly savvy but I wouldnt mind paying Guidon/ T Mobile to help me install a different modem to get closer to the full speed. “I know we cannot reach exact full speed”

Which tp-link archer router do you have and does it support VLAN?

You will never get 1Gb with the wifi connection.

The 1Gb figure is the theoretical max with a wired UTP connection on the modem.
In my case the up/down through the Zyxel modem are mostly +800Mb tested with the speedtest app installed on a windows pc connected with UTP cat 6

Just some speedtest results

Having a private modem/router installed is mostly done to have more control over the connection.

Komt tijd, komt raad. En ik maar raden waar de tijd blijft maar doe ondertussen of ik er verstand van heb
