Longer DSL Cable
The telephone cable provided in the package for DSL connection is about 1 meter long. The wall connection is right beside the bed and I would like to place the modem/router farther away from the bed.

no A longer cable is not supported is the short awnser.
But if you get a good quality cable it usualy works well. i use a cable with rj11 connectors CU awg 24

It is better not to use a longer DSL cable as this may decrease speed and connection quality.
Best place for a DSL modem is close to the so called ISRA point which can be found near the electricity meter in general.
