WAP6807 freezes

I am having so much trouble with Zyxel Mesh Points.

My modem is DX5401-B1, with nice looking WAP6807 Mesh Points. When they connected on ethernet backhaul-utp cable, they work fine.

When I try to use wireless backhaul, they work fast for some time (120 mbit+), later on  just randomly disconnect, and become unresponsive. I need to restart them to reconnect. It is not related to distance, wall etc. It also happens on short distance(same room). The middle sync led turns off, mesh point do not response to ping etc.

The modem’s log does not have any info. I spent some time, getting into the unresponsive mesh units, again no  usable info on log. I restart it every 4-5 hours but as you can see on the log 15 to 19 april interval has no logs at all.

I added 3 of them in my subscription, but if this issue can not be fixed, can I return them?  I don’t want to spent time on wifi issues in 2023.

Hi @Ranthor

I replaced all three WAP6807 with newer type of devices that work better with the DX5401. That should improved the mesh network. :)

How can I replace ? Has T-Mobile another model that I can choose?

I am an IT guy, with multiple mesh units at hand, just wanted to use the T-Mobile with the hope of compatibility.

No need to do anything for now. All you need to do is returning the current units, you will receive a mail with intructions to return them

The coming days you will receive a tracking link for the package with the new units.

I got some emails about returning the devices. Nice!

Let's see how the new ones work. I will send an update later

I just switched to the new 5600 AP, and having no issues.

I am getting like 120 Mbps of 400, latency is good. It even supports Wifi 6!
