Changing from another provider and keeping the old number

Hi everyone! I have a phone contract with another provider which ends in February and would like to change to Odido and keep my old number. I asked in the Odido shop and I was told that it can all be done automatically, I just need to order a new abonament online, but now that I checked on the website, it looks like I need to have a physical sim card from Odido first in order to keep the old number. Maybe some people here have done it already and could clarify? Thanks for any help! J.

How nice to read that you want to switch to us, we are very happy about that! It's true that this happens completely automatically. You don't need to have a SIM card from us first for this. If you request the subscription via our website, you can also request number portability in the process. You will then receive a sim card with a temporary number and when your number can be transferred to us, your own number will be transferred to that sim card!
