Hoi Tommie. Ik volg deze discussie met interesse. Is het toevallig al getest met een Fritzbox 5590 i.c.m. de XGS-PON module?

Ja het is op dit moment geïmplementeerd op het netwerk, echter zitten er nog wel wat foutjes in @DSmidgit.

@Tommie van Odido vooral dor het "hopen dat het werkt" haak ik momenteel af. Het internet word hier thuis veelvuldig gebruikt voor zowel werk, school als vrije tijd. Ik hoop dat er uiteindelijk een optie beschikbaar komt om, net als bij concurrent KPN, zelf een ONT te registreren zodat dit veel sneller doorgevoerd word zodat het wel te "proberen" is.

Ja dat klopt inderdaad @DSmidgit. Als ik het S/N van het ONT registreer dan verliest de Huawei zijn prik. Dan dien je je eigen ONT aan te sluiten en dan hopen dat hij werkt.

@Tommie van Odido ja dat is precies wat ik bedoel. Als mijn eigen modem word geregistreerd neem ik aan dat de Huawei unregistered word waardoor deze zijn verbinding verliest. Dan verlies ik thuis ook een internetverbinding totdat ik zelf thuis de glasvezel aansluit op het modem.

Wat bedoel je precies @DSmidgit? Dat ik jouw eigen ONT registreer en hoe lang het duurt voordat je verbinding hebt?

@Tommie van Odido als ik ni via PB mijn modem-ID doorgeef. Hoe lang duurt het dan voordat ik de verbinding kan testen? En als het dan niet werkt hoelang duurt het dan om de Huawei ONT weer actief te krijgen?

Nogmaals een poging gedaan. Nu gekeken waar hij op blijft hangen. Hij blijft hangen op status O2 - standby. Hij ontvangt dus geen instelgegevens van de OLT. Jammergenoeg kan heeft de Huawei ONT geen logfile om te kijken welke stappen die allemaal heeft doorlopen.

@peter-keetfm ja. Dat heb ik juist geprobeerd. Ik zie ook netjes op de fiber pagina dat het serienummer er staat maar er werd geen verbinding opgebouwd.

Ik hou voorlopig wel GPON aan.

@Tommie van Odido ik heb de stoute schoenen aangetrokken en de glasvezel direct op het modem aangesloten en het serienummer van de ONT gekloond. Jammergenoeg werkte dit niet. Omdat ik geen zin heb om bij problemen eerst weer de originele ONT te moeten registreren voordat er aan troubleshooting kan worden gedaan blijf ik maar werken met de geleverde ONT. Ik hoor graag als hier nog veranderingen in komen zodat je, net als bij GPON, het serienummer kan klonen. Voor nu werkt dat nog niet.

Hey @DSmidgit, ik weet niet of het werkt met het klonen van het PON-ID maar het werkt wel met het door ons laten registreren. Er zitten nog wel wat foutjes in heb ik gehoord dus daar zijn we nu mee bezig! 

I am willing to test, I can clone the PON-ID. I am using the https://ecin.ca/custom-xgs-pon-sfp-stick-module-xgspon-ont-w-t-mac-function-mounted-on-sfp-package/ so I have full access to the PON settings. So we can arrange a test if you wish?

@Tommie van Odido werkt dit hetzelfde als bij GPON? Dus is het klonen van het serienummer genoeg? Of moet deze toch geregistreerd worden met het eigen serienummer.

Hey @Maxuitutrecht, ik heb inderdaad wat nieuws hierover.

Ik heb namelijk bericht ontvangen dat het nu mogelijk moet zijn om een third party XGS-PON te registreren. Nu ben ik zelf nog een test aan het doen omtrent de registratie. Hopelijk heb ik daar vanmiddag of morgen wat meer nieuws over!

Hey @ChaosMonkey, unfortunately, I am not allowed to disclose that information; fortunately, you don't need that information for a third-party XGS-PON either. I hope to have news about the integration on Monday. Would you like to pull the sleeve again then?

Tommie, I believe LOID is used, is there anyway to retrieve the LOID information for my account if I request it?

Can you share the brand uses for the OLT? This also helps for compatibility.

@Tommie van Odido thank you, there is a little confusing information from the Odido.nl site, because the pdf says “Op een KPN WBA glasvezelverbinding is een eigen ONT alleen mogelijk wanneer je met XGSPON verbonden bent.” , now KPN is the infrastructure provider for me with XGSPON, so this seems to suggest it should already be possible?. I am also not looking to register a new GPON_SN, rather clone. I don’t see any instructions on what information is needed for the auth. Is there any guide on what the network currently uses for the OLT Auth?
